The City of Geraldton-Greenough is confident a network of closed-circuit security cameras will be installed in the city by March. The council was allocated state and federal funding as part of the National Crime Prevention Program. The 32 cameras were due to be rolled out around the foreshore and Marine Terrace precinct more than six months ago. But the city's community law and safety officer, Konrad Seidl, says there have been some delays. "Large projects are complex and with them comes technical difficulty," he said. "Our installation of CCTV has met with some difficulty and as such will be delayed until late February."
