This week our work consisted of a very large industrial building, home to a worldwide logistics company.
The job consisted of 4 new installs of External Traditional Cameras in Housings with Samsung SDC-435P Camera 600 TV Lines and a 2.8-11mm Vari Focal, Auto Iris Lens. The recorder was an Apollo Pro 16 Channel Real Time D1 DVR, the Monitor a QVIS 19” LCD and Power Supply a 24V AC 4 Amp individually fused.
The new installation was relatively straight forward cable runs into an existing Comms room, the longest run was about 200m so normal shotgun (RG59 + 2) cable was appropriate. We were asked to integrate their existing system that consisted of a MEYERTECH Matrix System, Two 3-Axis Keyboards (One in the front gatehouse and one at the main desk), Four Traditional PTZ Cameras, Four Internal PTZ Domes, and Six Static Traditional Cameras.Needed to hire a 10m Boom Lift to reach most of the external cameras, One day hire was more than enough. Amazing the difference in the picture quality after you clean a Housing for the first time in 4 years.
Once finished with the cameras we then setup the remote side over the LAN, with some help from their IT Department, on several Desktop PC’s and a Laptop.Finishing with some training the full install ran with no problems, with a subsidised canteen and only 10 mins travelling from my house I wish they were all like this.
